ABOUT ME
Born into a family of artists, I was introduced to art in all its forms from a young age. In a childhood filled with adventure, I learned to see the world through the lens of nature's beauty—captivated by its endless forms, colours and textures. These early experiences deeply shaped how I view and interact with the world around me, laying the foundation for my creative journey.
Throughout my life, I have explored various mediums and styles, yet I have always been drawn to the tactile, three-dimensional quality of sculptural art. From a young age, I discovered the joy of working with my hands, bringing forms to life in a way that felt both intuitive and expressive. For me, sculpture is not only a way to convey my thoughts and perceptions but also a deeply physical and meditative process.
My artworks are a reflection of the world as I perceive it, with a strong focus on the infinite beauty found in nature. Through texture, form and colour, I seek to capture the intricate designs present in every natural element. Sometimes whimsical, always thoughtful, each piece celebrates the wonder of the natural world.
Driven by a strong commitment to sustainability, my art journey has evolved into a new era of creating using recycled and reclaimed materials, adding an extra layer of meaning and consciousness to my creations. By predominately utilising reclaimed cardboard, (yes I do go dumpster diving!), I am able to create lightweight, conscious forms that still retain strength and solidity. I strive to create something beautiful from this medium, giving it new life through art.
Each piece I create begins as a moment of inspiration —a fleeting pattern, a texture, or the sight of new growth. From there, it evolves into a clear vision of what I wish to portray. In these moments of creation time seems to stand still, and I find peace in the meditative act of bringing my ideas to life.
I invite you to explore my work, and I hope it brings you a sense of connection and wonder.
