'Ammonite #1'
Nature's beauty is never more obvious than in the pure symmetry and perfection found in the shape of a leaf, the petals of a flower or the calcium carbonate structures of shells.
This Sculpture was created from strips of recycled Cardboard to symbolize the shape of an Ammonite Shell, with a protective poly coating and finished in off White acrylic with a central spiral highlighted in light Copper. Satin Varnish. Showcased on a painted timber stand, in matching off white, felt to underside of Stand.
34.5cm (W) x 47cm (H) x 15cm (D)
This series is about capturing the basic elements of form and conceptualizing them into tactile, simplistic shapes, while still promoting and celebrating their origins.
These are my interpretations of some of Nature's colorful and abundant life.
NOTE: Shipping with Tracking & Insurance is included in the price within Australia. Other Countries - Shipping difference is calculated at Checkout.
